Three Things I Never Expected My Mom Self To Be…And Yet I Am

Before you have kids, you have this vision of who you’ll be when you actually do have kids. You tell yourself that your kids will be perfect, you’ll always have fresh food on the table and sweets will be off limits. That you’ll never fall into the “frumpy mom” category, will have the smartest and most social kid in the class and your life will basically be one blissful moment over and over for the rest of your life, the end.

And then you become a mom. And that moment hits, about two days after you come home from the hospital with your first newborn, and you realize: THIS IS NOT GOING ACCORDING TO PLAN.
