I headed out for a run yesterday. It wasn’t going to be a long run maybe 5 or 6 miles but it turned into 9. A song came on Pandora while I was running that made me a little sad and I just needed a little extra run time to clear my mind and put some things in perspective.

The song made me think of my Mom who has been gone for 8 years now. I have talked about her before on my blog (What inspires you? )

There are things I will never get to do with her and things I was never be able to tell her. Through her passing I did learned to do today and not wait because the tomorrow I am waiting for may not come. Granted I need reminding at times because life gets busy and maybe that is why I heard that song yesterday.

The song was a good reminder for me to live in the present. Not to put off until tomorrow or to worry about yesterday. It reminded me to think of what is most important and to not sweat the small stuff.
