Introducing our newest set of PiggyToes ~ Welcome to the World, Mario!

On Monday, February 25, 2013, we welcomed our 3rd son into the world…

He’s perfect… all 8 lb. 6 oz. of him…

From his dark head of hair down to his 10 tiny PiggyToes

We are madly in love!

When our baby boy entered our world, I think I kissed every inch of his face and was so relieved that he was healthy & finally here!  The operating room was quite an experience; it’s hard to believe they keep you awake for such an intense surgery.  I’ll spare you of the OR photos; they aren’t pretty.  Shortly after he was born, we were wheeled to our recovery room… I was so happy… my 3rd baby boy!

Within minutes of holding him, the pressure and pain of the baby laying on top of me was too much for me to handle.  I had to pass him off to daddy.  The nurses gave me everything they could, I rested and then a few hours later, we made the calls to family and friends for them to visit!

The boys arrived first and were just too cute for words.  They were monkeys too, of course!

Rocco fell in love with his new baby brother and wanted to be all up in his face, touching his cheek, rubbing his hair, holding his hands.  Roman was curious; he stood back at first and stared at me.  It didn’t surprise me that he had to ask questions about poop and pee and belly-buttons but the sweetest thing was that they were both so concerned about me.

Oh these little boys melt my heart.

Unfortunately, I couldn’t bring the boys up in bed with me, so I passed the baby to Nana for her to show them every inch of his little body!  They wanted to see it all!

I stared at my 3 little boys from my bed and was overwhelmed with love.

I can’t even begin to tell you what a unique and special feeling it is to be the mama of 3 boys!  To be their princess, their queen, the No. 1 lady in their life (for now); it feels so special; I for sure am blessed!  Rocco & Roman both kept glancing over at me while they checked out their baby brother and Rocco was constantly concerned about how I was doing & feeling… I love their love for me.

The next morning, we were given paperwork to fill out for the baby’s birth certificate.  I wasn’t lying on Facebook when I said we didn’t have a name and couldn’t agree on one.  We were struggling!  Dominic, Geno, Gio, Mario, Leo, Luciano were the names we were going between.  I liked them all and when I looked at our new baby, I honestly felt that he fit any of those names.

What should we name you my dark haired, olive skin beautiful baby boy?

We narrowed down our list and told the boys to choose.  That evening and the next day,  they continued to choose the name Mario from the list and by our 3rd morning there, Brian and the boys decided that his name would be…

William (after my father and grandfather)

It fits him perfectly.

And its such a special name because his big brothers chose it for him!

I love these 4 guys more than anything… They are crazy and goofy and fun and sweet and loving and take such good care of me!  I am blessed beyond words!

We took our new baby boy, Mario home on Wednesday February 27th.

His little PiggyToes are the most perfect addition to our family!

Black Friday – it’s Not Just About Fashion

Fashion, eh? It comes and goes, then comes back around again, at once fleeting and eternal. A style is in one month and then is never heard of again – until it is heard of again, of course.

The quest for fashionable clothes never ends; it’s just that what is in vogue is always changing.…
