So glad it is Friday.  This has been a busy week with highs and lows.  I spent the week at my boys school co-chairing the book fair so my house is in a little bit of disarray.  So I will be spending this weekend getting things back in order.

My workouts this week felt labored, I think my legs were hoping for a few extra rest days after my half marathon last Saturday.  My runs felt as though I was going in slow motion, so I didn’t push it just ran the best I could.

This week marks the last week for the Spring Bootie Buster Challenge.  This has been a fun challenge.  In this challenge I chose the workouts and received one point for every 10 minutes of exercise.  I also received a point if I ate the correct amount of fruits and veggies for the day and drank the correct amount of water.  This was a good challenge to hold me accountable to my workouts and healthy eating. 

 

Workouts for the week

Saturday

  • Martian Half Marathon completed in 1 hour 54 minutes!! WooHoo!! Still very happy about this!

Sunday

  • Rest Day (see I gave my legs a day off)

Monday

  • Best Body Bootcamp Strength Workout A- my legs hated me on this workout.  The workout was 5 full reps followed by 5 pulse reps, 10 pulse reps, 15 pulse reps repeated 3 times per exercise.  Exercises were focused on legs and arms.  My legs were screaming but they made it through.

Tuesday

  • 5 mile run in 44 minutes 29 seconds and Best Body Bootcamp Ab workout.  I was so happy to be outside on a nice spring evening for this run but my legs felt like heavy weights.  I felt like my run was very slow but when I got home and checked my pace found out I didn’t do too bad.

Wednesday

  • Best Body Bootcamp Strength Workout B-this was a full body strength workout and it felt good.  It was another nice spring day and the boys had no school so we took a nice walk on some local trails

Thursday

Friday

  • Best Body Bootcamp Strength Workout C-This one was similar to Monday’s workout with 5 full reps followed by 5 pulses, 10 pulses and 15 pulses repeated 3 times per exercise, luckily this one focused mostly on arms so my legs got a rest.
