Please, feel free to view the original post on my blog, Mama Chirps :)

I know I said blogging was a pain in the butt without being able to use my laptop, but I'm starting to enjoy blogging from my husband's computer. He has the coziest computer chair... I picked it out, after all ;) And about that new blog layout that I'm working on - I need to finish it. It's similar to this one, yes. But I pretty much re-did this one entirely to my liking and I love it. I just need a copy of photoshop CS5 on this computer so I can put some pretty graphics and more color into it!

^ That's what the blog template looked like before I touched it up. It came a long way. Did I ever mention? If I was ever going to attend college and earn a degree - it would be for web design. Or maybe I'd just do freelance website and blog designing <3

Anyway, enough blog layout chatter. This past week has been stressful. Why? Oh, I don't even know why. But I'm getting pissed off at every turn. My poor husband! I love you for putting up with me. I'll blame it on my pregnancy hormones finally catching up to me. I've been super mellow thus far, so it was bound to happen.

But you know what? I feel so much better today. Because I did a good 30 minutes of Ashtanga practice. I doubt I've mentioned before that I do yoga, because I started writing this blog around the time I got pregnant with Little Miss... which was about the time that I stopped doing yoga due to exhaustion and morning sickness. But yep, yoga.. I did the occasional prenatal yoga while I was pregnant with my son, but I started doing it for real after I had my son. I tried a few different types of yoga, but I think I've settled on Ashtanga yoga. I like the structure of it. It's orderly. Every sequence prepares you for the next, and you can determine for yourself when you're ready to move on by trying the next sequence. If I fail, I keep doing the previous sequence until I gain the strength or flexibility to do the next. But sometimes I surprise myself when I can already do the next few poses fairly well :D

All teh asanas! Well, at least of the Primary Series, which is what you start off doing when you start Ashtanga Yoga. Currently, I'm working on the standing asanas shown above. Although I continue to do Sun Salutations A & B 3x through each time I practice. I can do all but the one-leg balancing foot-holding pose. Technically, the formal name is Utthita Hasta Padangusthasana. Yeah I can only half-ass that one with a bent leg, but I'm getting there. I figure I won't be able to do half this stuff when I'm nice and round anyway, so no rush, right?

Ashtanga is amazing for you. Don't think that doing the same poses over and over won't do anything for you. As you continue to repeat the poses, you continue to increase your strength and flexibility so that you can deepen into them and master the most advanced variations. I lurve being able to stretch further than I could before.
