I love to travel and being a filmmaker has given me all kinds or reasons to go many places. But as my family grew I got tired of long hours in airplane seats and nights alone in hotel rooms. Then, a few years ago I had a flash of inspiration (some might say insanity, but I’m sticking with inspiration). I decided to parlay a project in Germany into a summer adventure for my family of six.
It turned out to be a memorable vacation and taught me a very important lesson: Big…Continue

The Indianapolis Children's Museum is the world's largest museum of its kind and a definite must-see attraction if you have kids. My kids loved everything about it and would like to go back as often as possible. Between the excellent dinosaur exhibit, train displays, indoor carousel and playhouse, National Geographic Treasures of the Earth exhibits, dedicated toddler/preschooler area, and plenty of hands-on science stations, the kids will enjoy hours of educational entertainment. There are…Continue

Chicago is such an awesome city to visit: full of history, world-class museums, shopping, fun dining options and kid-friendly attractions. If you are thinking ahead to spring break or summer vacation, Chicago is definitely a place to keep on the list of musts for family trips. I have visited Chicago at least a dozen times over the years. Some trips were for business, some for a girls' only weekend, a few have been a one-day up and back Chicago day trip and, of course, the family…Continue

Welcome to Part 2 of my Traveling Working Mom series! This week I have my second overnight trip away from Teagan. This trip will be a little longer and kicks off four consecutive weeks of work travel. Yikes!
To say I'm anxious is an understatement. As I mentioned in my last post I absolutely love my job, so when I'm gone for work I'm easily distracted, but Teagan is always in the back of my mind and the guilt of leaving my husband to be a single dad is ever…

This week I became the traveling, working mom. This was my first overnight trip away from Teagan and leading up to the trip I had mixed feelings, as well as during the trip.
I can honestly say I'm in the best job of my career up to this point. I love my company and my job gives me pride, energy, and excitement. I knew after Teagan was born I would need to travel at certain points in the year, but I was conflicted with how this would impact me and my family. At the…

This series of books began with ‘Order of the Dimensions’, where Jane and her team of graduate students work, with their professor, on a box, which can transport people into different dimensions.
In the sequel, ‘Revised Orders’, Jane is tempted again by her friend Amber to enter the box and the adventures in different dimensions continued.
In this third book, there…Continue

In the first book of this series ‘Orders of the Dimensions’, Jane Kremowski and her team of graduate students work with their professor to make a box which will enable them to visit other dimensions.
In this, the sequel, encouraged by her friend Amber, Jane, yet again finds herself persuaded to enter the box.
This a sequel, in every sense of the word, and so I would strongly…Continue

I've asked myself this question a few times over the past 8 months. You want to go somewhere that may not necessarily be infant friendly, and are wondering how they'll take it. I've come up with a list of a few places I've been over the past several months and decided to give you my thoughts on being there with a baby.

Lucky finds himself in this peculiarly unique situation when he discovers he no longer can access The Time Portal.
Because of obligations in the present, Lucky…

My last trip away from home was the Singapore getaway in the middle of September, seems like a long time to me though it was only around two months ago. So when my friend suggested to go Taiping for a short trip, I didn't hesitate, after all, Taiping is just less than an hour away from Ipoh...
I started the journey early on Saturday and we had a nice stroll at the Taiping lake... due to the rain, the plants and the trees glitter and the lake is not "drought looking"…
