This series of books began with ‘Order of the Dimensions’, where Jane and her team of graduate students work, with their professor, on a box, which can transport people into different dimensions.
In the sequel, ‘Revised Orders’, Jane is tempted again by her friend Amber to enter the box and the adventures in different dimensions continued.
In this third book, there…Continue

In the first book of this series ‘Orders of the Dimensions’, Jane Kremowski and her team of graduate students work with their professor to make a box which will enable them to visit other dimensions.
In this, the sequel, encouraged by her friend Amber, Jane, yet again finds herself persuaded to enter the box.
This a sequel, in every sense of the word, and so I would strongly…Continue

I've asked myself this question a few times over the past 8 months. You want to go somewhere that may not necessarily be infant friendly, and are wondering how they'll take it. I've come up with a list of a few places I've been over the past several months and decided to give you my thoughts on being there with a baby.

My last trip away from home was the Singapore getaway in the middle of September, seems like a long time to me though it was only around two months ago. So when my friend suggested to go Taiping for a short trip, I didn't hesitate, after all, Taiping is just less than an hour away from Ipoh...
I started the journey early on Saturday and we had a nice stroll at the Taiping lake... due to the rain, the plants and the trees glitter and the lake is not "drought looking"…

It was a simple quest.
Andrew and I were going to take a relatively quick 5 1/2 hour road trip to the Capital District so we could get India from college for the summer.
But someone had decided her van wouldn't make the 30° grade of the Driveway From Hell over the winter and parked it. Not in the barn on the hill, where it would be protected. Nooo. I parked her in the driveway and let her sit - under 3 feet of snow…

It was after 5pm when we strolled down to the town, it was quite deserted by then. Most of the shops are closed at 5pm, except for a few eatery shops but we didn't take our dinner there. We bought some frozen pizzas from the grocery stall and micro-waved them in the guest house. (Saves some pounds and pennies!) LOL..
Let me tell you…

Dark magic…dark passions….
When Rowena is abducted from Arizona and taken back to medieval Land’s End, one thing is clear: she must learn to control her powers of magic. It isn’t easy being a modern girl in an archaic land, and when Rowena accidently conjures up a Roman Legion in mid-battle, Land’s End is on the brink of a…Continue

Nothing is worse than having your credit card declined, especially when you're trying to buy your family subway passes at a kiosk under Times Square surrounded by early morning commuters.
Don't get me wrong, the people around us were very understanding, if misguided in assuming we'd run up our line of credit. I think someone did offer to help pay our fare in the confusion, but just about everyone else was focused on catching their train.
It didn't help that when you're that far…Continue

When I made the decision, really made the decision, to adopt a greener lifestyle, I had people say to me “I’d love to go green but I can’t afford it.” Have you ever said that? Thought that? If so, I will refrain from telling you what I said in return.
The point is that if you think about it,…Continue

I was quite young when my parents started taking me to different museums and I always enjoyed them. My imagination would start getting wild. I am a firm believer that museums are a great family outing. They are a chance to spend some time together, exploring, learning about the past, present or the future, trying new…Continue

With full and heavy stomach, we eased digestion in Queensball Mall which is just a short distance away from Sungai Dua... we walked around the mall, browsing around and buying nothing.. seriously, nothing was bought that evening.... it was a good sign, at least for my pockets... hahahaa....
Thinking back now, it is indeed a Big surprise that we went back to the hotel empty-handed... Kudos to my girl! What a good girl she is! She didn't buy anything at all.....
