Glucose Screening Test Alternatives

I know that the glucose screening test is considered necessary and I would never want to do anything to put my baby or myself in danger so I will (somewhat reluctantly) have this test done.

It should be no big deal right?

Just one of those things you just have to do…

Why am I reluctant to take a silly test where all I have to do is drink some drink and wait?…

Are YOU Done Having Babies?

As I organize my older son’s closet, I am finding the most precious of memories in the form of pictures, school projects and love notes.  Last night, we all sat on the floor and looked through it all, which made me teary eyed.  Even my kids said they felt emotional.  My oldest commented, “those were good times mom…good times”.…

5 things I learned this Halloween.

1. Picking a costume is so much easier when you have kids.

I used to have so much trouble choosing my costumes, but you know who has no trouble at all choosing my costumes? MY SON.  He is very opinionated when it comes to what I wear, Halloween or not.

Like a lot of 6 year old boys this year, my son chose to be a ninja turtle. Micheal Angelo, to be exact.  Of course, he wanted me to be April O'Neil, and since I'm pregnant, I had to get a little… Continue

Bad mom days

If your kids are past infancy and you've never had a bad mom day, I can't be friends with you. I just can't. It will never work. You are not from this planet, and I think it's best for my kids if I don't bring extra terrestrials around.

I mean every sane person has a bad mom day.

If you're here on earth, you know exactly what I'm talking about. Sometimes it starts from the moment you wake up. Other times if creeps up on you around noon. Everything everyone is saying is…

Being broke can be a blessing.

I used to make a lot of money, though  I didn't realize it at the time. That 20/20 hindsight can really burn some days.   I was doing really well for myself and for my family financially, but  I wasn't happy. I wasn't in love with my job anymore, and I tried to compensate by spending the money I was making. Writing at Starbucks, yoga, the gym, spas, masks, and spoiling my family.  When we found out we were expecting another little one, I decided I needed to make a change. I know…
