Christmas doesn’t have to be a terrifying expense every year, there are plenty of gifts that you can create from the comfort of your own home and for a small cost. Plus a handmade gift is always well received because time, effort and a lot of thought will have usually gone into creating it.
You might have to make a trip to the craft store (and get immersed in the endless possibilities to choose from there) or you could head online and buy all your supplies from a site such as…Continue

Bands is a fun, educational how-to book for children who love making jewelry. Not only does it teaches how to make lovely designs, but it also strengthens children’s faith by combining hands-on creativity with Bible verses and stories.

Have you ever slipped and said a tacky word in front of your child? I know that I am guilty of this of accidentally saying something I will regret later or said something that wasn't appropriate for my children to hear. I have always tried to be aware and watch what I say and do in front of them. I want to make sure that my kids aren't picking up bad habits. Believe it or…Continue

I remember when I found out that I was pregnant with my youngest son, I stumbled upon the pregnancy forum on Baby Center. Baby center has a birth club for the birth month and year that my baby was due so that you could connect with mothers who were experiencing the same things that you were. It almost seems like yesterday that I was busy surfing through the forums and…Continue

Last fall we decided to take my youngest son out of daycare so that he could stay at home with me during the day. At first I was nervous because I wasn’t sure how I was going to care for him during the day. I am thankful that he has started learning how to play independently and can entertain himself for a few minutes. During those first several weeks, I was so excited and wanted to continue teaching him the things that he was currently learning in daycare. Things changed…Continue

This week has flown by and I can’t believe that tomorrow is Friday. I started participating in #ASKAWAYFriday and I have enjoyed it. I love connecting with other bloggers and learning more about them. I wanted to participate in this blog hop because I don’t always share a ton of information about myself. I thought #ASKAWAYFriday was the perfect way for everyone to get to know me on a personal basis. For those who don’t know what #ASKAWAYFriday is, you exchange a set of 10 questions for…Continue

Yesterday afternoon when my son got into the car, he was asking his sister if she ever put salt on ice. I didn’t realize that he was talking about putting the salt and ice combination on his skin. I just assumed that his science teacher was teaching them about temperature changes using salt and ice. Then this afternoon, I noticed a huge red spot…Continue

Over the last several weeks, I have noticed that my youngest son doesn’t like to go to bed at night. I am not sure if he is scared of the dark, terrified to be alone, dealing with separation anxiety, if he is just going through a phase where he wants to be independent, or he is afraid of “monsters” hiding under his bed or in his closet. Every night we go through the same exact routine, my youngest son will throw a fit and he will tell me that he doesn’t want to go to bed. Each night we…Continue
