Ways to manage the pain often include Lamaze, water therapy, epidural, hypnosis, etc. I opted for hypnosis when this little lady graced us with her presence.…

This was just a week back, when I happened to meet one of the moms, who shared her plans of sending her only child to a boarding school.. Well my first reaction literally came out as a shock.. like Why ?? with a big question mark.? but as we spoke further.. I kind of came to terms with the fact that it is an option…Continue

What else is open year round, lets the kids tire themselves out and is totally FREE? Kids get to run wild, make friends and get a feeling of independence. Meanwhile they're oblivious to the fact that we're actually watching their every move. After all, for a semi helicopter mom like me, who used to…Continue

lly and I wanted to do something special for Daddy, just to show him how much we love him. We sat down to brainstorm a couple ideas of what to do and finally settled on making a collage for Daddy. The collage would contain things that he really enjoys and something that describes him. Although our Daddy is one who likes to wrestle and roll around on the floor, he also really enjoys dressing up and looking nice!
Check out our finished picture and see how you can make one…Continue

I have heard from so many moms lately about how stressed and worn out they all are. One of them would be me. We can all relate to the ever popular, “If only there was one more hour to the day” and the, “I just can’t get it all done” slogans.
Most days we feel like we are drowning. Some days we get thrown a life preserver, some days we just don’t have it in us to fight anymore, and other days we have the strength to get our head above water and actually swim to…Continue

I'm still new to this whole Mother's Day thing (I've only celebrated one), but so far I'm a big fan of it. And I know it's a few years off, but I'm excited for the days when Hollis will bring maccaroni art and adorable scribbled cards home from school for Mother's Day. I still remember making those things for my mom and feeling pretty solid that my handmade creation was the greatest gift ever, and I'm sure my mom felt the same way. Since Mother's Day is only a few weeks away, I…Continue
Back in 1952, Ohio’s Cuyahoga River caught fire and caused $1.5 million in damage to Cleveland. The city’s industrial revolution had taken its toll with the oil and debris clogging the river and igniting on a regular basis. When the river went up in flames yet again in 1968, the situation gained national attention. The Cuyahoga became a poster child for early environmentalists.…Continue

Today was the big day. We finally had our Valentine's Day Party! As usual, things don't always go as planned, but it all worked out for the best. I planned on having a lot of games, prizes and music, but with the popcorn snack boxes and a house full of mostly boys, I had a feeling it wouldn't be all frills.…Continue

Is Valentine’s Day becoming a thing of the past? I hope not. When I was in junior high, a boy I hardly knew gave me a huge, ruffled, sparkly box of chocolates – in the middle of a bustling, loud hallway filled with 13 year olds, most of whom stopped to gawk at the exchange. I was mortified and thrilled at the same time, and I kept that box for a decade.…Continue
