I am a professional book editor, and I have eight other lives. Traveling, writing, photography, entomology, wellness, and subculture thrill me. I blog about defying the moniker, "slackermom." I want to hear readers' reflections.
What is your blogging philosophy?
Originality can be cultivated. To write rich material, I seek out thrilling, unexpected, experiences. I always bring a point home by tapping into something universal we all might grapple with. I rarely have all the answers, but take pleasure in cooking up questions and hearing readers take a stab at answers. I believe people want to be acknowledged. I am a hedonist always chasing bliss, and it comes through in a very optimistic voice. If I can make a reader smile on a day they really needed it, that's my cherished reward of blogging. I hope a sense of humor comes across, as well.
