I am a mom of triples, 7, and a tween girl, 10, who wanted to be Supermom who knew and could fix every danger--and inadvertantly became a Paranoid Parent. I realized I worried about the scariest dangers, plus every other danger ever without asking "Does this happen to millions of kids a year or just one or two?" And all my top dangers turned out to be 1 in 10 million---not the nightmares I had created.
What is your blogging philosophy?
I blog to tell the likelihood of those current topics that are worrying us: H1N1, extreme bullying, walking to school, kidnapping, flesh eating bacteria, etc....Is it really likely to happen to my kids or me?
