DNA, Genetics and Half-Siblings are all we have to put the Puzzle Pieces together!

Finding half-siblings for my kids has been very important for me, in truth it is why I started blogging, in almost every post I would put our donors number (BGM 9581 by the way) and it is why I joined the DSR (Donor Sibling Registry) before my first was even born.  I feel I have been lucky enough to find two half-sibs. One on the DSR, and one because of my blog.  I know that there are at least 25 reported births as of earlier this year, but…See More

Share a little something about yourself with other moms.
I am a 41 year old Wife and DI Mom to 3 year old B/G Twins and a 4 year old daughter all born using anonymous donor sperm #BGM 9581 from xytex. I live with my wonderful Husband in Ontario, Canada. I am many things other then a Mom. I am a wicked dreamer, a mild mannered skunk hunter, a no nonsense chef, a lover of a glass of wine, a participating wife and a best friend. I started blogging about my crazy life as a mom to donor conceived kids back in 2008 when my first daughter was just 1 and I was trying for baby #2 (which ended up being twins). Now I write at GENdMOM.com about my life and issues having to do with the world of Donor Gametes, infertility, and the mess it can all sometimes be.

However, I discovered I had more to write about then just being a mom of donor conceived kids, I also found that I got great joy from interacting with others about being a Mom, A Wife, A Women, etc. Most importantly I found an online world of friends and family. Therefore I started another blog PandeMommium.com where I write about my nutty life with my 3 kids, and my husband all while trying to maintain some sense of still being a women who has aspirations and desires that go beyond diapers, mac and cheese, treehouse, disney, potty training, well you get the idea!
What is your blogging philosophy?
To be true to myself and never be afraid to put my words into print1

Buying and Selling Eggs, Sperm and Embryo's is a crime here in Canada!!!!

Posted on March 27, 2012 at 3:32pm 0 Comments

Finally after 8 years of the Assisted Human Reproduction Act coming into play the police are laying down the law and investigating some questionable  practices in the fertility trade in Canada.  The AHRA act clearly states that the exchange of money for Sperm, Eggs, Embryos or the Services for Surrogate Mothers is a crime here in Canada.  Then why have people been receiving money under the guise of such actions.  Last month the RCMP raided an Ontario Agency called the …

TMI......And Every Typed Word Felt Great!

Posted on March 4, 2012 at 12:44pm 0 Comments

Blog posts are usually very organic for me, they pop into my head and I write them rather quickly with spelling mistakes and bad grammar all included. I then go back and fix my mistakes hoping that the post looks polished and well thought out. This post however is taking its time and feels very forced, it is being typed at my kitchen table with my 22 month old son on my lap, my 3 year old playing next to me chatting away about the most inane things and of course what’s a day without Dora…

40 Year Old Makeup Virgin

Posted on February 27, 2012 at 12:45pm 2 Comments

Facts:

I am turning 40 in twelve days and I have never worn makeup in my life, okay except for maybe a few unfortunate attempts when I was 14 and angry at the world….black eye liner!

Not wearing makeup was never an issue for me, until about a year ago.  I have an increasing case of Vitiligo and it has come up onto my face, gone are the cute little freckles that used to speckle themselves whimsically across my nose and down onto my cheeks. It became…

Welcome to Mom Blogger's Club! I hope you enjoy your time here and find it helpful! I know it can be overwhelming at first but I promise, you'll be a pro on here in no time! I write a blog called The Adventures of J-Man and MillerBug. It's a blog about my life with my two boys and I do some pretty cool giveaways (OK, I think they're cool! Do you?)

Every weekend I host the Finding New Friends Weekend Blog Hop. It's a great way to find new followers and friends as well as get to know more of your fellow mom bloggers. If you're not familiar with a blog hop, all you have to do is add your blog to the list. Participants then "hop" from blog to blog to find great new blogs! It's a ton of fun! I'd love to have you join us. It's going on now so come on over and link up! You can find it here:http://www.jmanandmillerbug.com/2011/10/finding-new-friends-weekend-blog-hop.html#more. Be sure to leave a messge if you join up so that I can follow you back!

Let me know if you have any questions or if I can help you with anything in your blogging journey! I look forward to being your friend!
